I usually just fluff the flour with a fork and then spoon it into the measuring cup.

Do you sift your flour first or just measure without sifting? Many say for pound cakes that you must sift the flour first to avoid the cake from being dry. I have being trying to search everywhere for this answer and can’t seem to find a straight answer. I really want to try this recipe but unsure. Any suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated.

5+, Absolutely delicious . I used sweet potatoes instead of baby food. This cake recipe will be on the table for Thanksgiving….

A cream cheese glaze would be great on this!

Hi Rose,
I think you may have clicked on the recipe scale to decrease the recipe. Try clicking on the 1x button in the recipe card.

I use a little over 3-4 (4 oz) jars. Some brands will say 4 oz, but when I place it in a measuring cup, it will be under 4 oz. So I always grab 4 (4 oz) jars to be on the safe side.

I am trying to lose weight, and if I knew the facts about it, I could easily eat a small piece!
