I have made several of your pound cakes and they do not disappoint. My daughter and her adult children love these cakes. They can’t stop talking about the buttery taste and the crumb. Thank you for sharing. I had been looking for a while for a good pound cake recipe. FOUND IT!!!!!

This looks so good, but I think I did something wrong. I followed the recipe and used two loaf pans. But the cake only rose to less than 2 inches high with very hard edges. Do you know what would cause this? Should I add more baking powder next time?

I am baking at apx 7500 ft. Cake tasted great but did not rise uniformly, deep ditch. Also too moist, like , maybe too much milk in proportion to flour? Would appreciate help to correctm

In reply to Sandy. What speed did you mix on? Sometimes I'll get sinking after cooling if I mix at a higher speed or for too long.
