“Looking for a crisp, light and refreshing punch for a bridal or baby shower? This non-alcoholic fruity punch fits the bill!”
Visual learner? Watch me make this Fruit Cocktail “Bridal Shower “Punch from start to finish!
My my my… is it just me or does it seem like EVERYONE is engaged or pregnant these days?!? I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many requests for bridal shower and baby shower punch recipe than I have this year.
Yall ain’t messing around! Is something in the water? Keep it far away from me but congrats hun if that’s you!
I LOVE bridal and baby showers, and I have a fantastic shower punch just for you. It’s technically called a Fruit Cocktail Punch but we call it, “That Bridal Shower Punch” or “That Baby Shower Punch”. It’s great for baby showers, bridal showers, weddings and just about any spring and summer celebration.
In my family, our punch recipes don’t change much. For kids birthday parties it’s always this old school fruit punch, for New Years there is usually a batch of this sparkling celebration punch, for Christmas parties, you’ll find pomegranate punch, and for Thanksgiving, yep there’s autumn punch or Caramel Apple Punch.
And for any summery bridal or baby shower, it’s this melon ball punch or this super-fruity cocktail punch I’m sharing with you today! It’s so light, amazingly crisp, and always gets “oh this is some good punch” remarks.
One thing that you’ll find in just about all of my favorite punch recipes is lots of fruit!!! Some people call it a sangria-style punch. Fruit and punch go so well together so I’m always looking for ways to throw in the mix. Sometimes I’ll freeze fruit( like grapes) to use as ice cubes. There is something about drinking punch with fresh fruit basking it in that makes people happy! And punch-infused fruit is a heavenly little treat and pretty filling! Great choice if your party food in on the scarce side!
Can I add other fruits to this punch?
For this particular punch, my go-to fruit combination is always watermelon, pineapple, peaches, and green apples. This combinatin create the perfect fruit cocktail flavor. I’ve tried so many combinations of fruit, (feel free to try your own) but I always come back to these four! They take this punch to a whole new flavor level so don’t even think about making this punch and skipping the fruit addition or you’ll have an “ok” punch instead of a “juicy, addictive, bomb-diggity” punch.
Make this refreshing punch for your next summer celebration and watch how fast it disappears!

I served this Shower Punch at my daughter’s Couple Shower and boy was it a hit! Our pastor drank 3 cups and everyone raved about how good it tasted! I made it a day ahead and let the fruit juices infuse in the delicious combination of juices and lemon-lime soda. One thing I wasn’t sure of was timing to add the soda so I added one soda when I made it, and the second chilled 2 liter bottle when I served it. I also added a small bag of frozen cherries/Strawberry/blue berries I picked up from Walmart. I cut up some of the berries, dropped into flower shaped cupcake / muffin pans, poured punch over the fruit and froze the tray. At the beginning of the shower, I popped out the frozen punch flowers and dropped into the punch when I served it. The frozen punch flowers floated on top and the color was beautiful!
The mixture made almost 4 larger pitchers – the best surprise and finishing touch was what we called “Mom’s After Party Punch” that we shared with a few friends at home after the event – we dropped some ice in mason jars, added some of the muddled fruit, poured in the punch then added a jigger of vodka and a colorful straw – We sat around a table, sipping our After Shower Punch and reminisced about the awesome time we had. What a fantastic way for the family to wrap up a great celebration with friends and family! <3
If you’re trying to find a great all around punch that serves many – give this one a try – and be sure to try “Mom’s After Party Punch”!
Thank you Monique!
