Fresh Black Grape Lemonade
“From-scratch black grape lemonade made with fresh grapes and lemons! So refreshing and beautiful!”
Watch me make this fresh black grape lemonade from start to finish!
Soooo I ‘ve been kinda obsessed with black grapes lately! Target has started carrying my favorite brand (Anthonys’) in the black grape variety and I can’t get enough of them! They say the darker the berry the healthier so I’m hoping these will cancel out the carton of Raspberry Cheesecake Gelato I’ve been smashing. No? Whatever!
I’ve had my share of fresh black grapes and frozen black grapes so it was time to try something new with my new boyfriend (that’s what I call my food crushes by the way. I’m not cheating on the hubs promise). Fresh black grape lemonade on deck!!!
I don’t know guys….this might be one of my new favorite lemonade recipes to date! And I have A LOT of them on this site. I mean just look at that GORGE deep magenta color! And it’s all natural at that! Lovely right?
This black grape lemonade is so crisp, sweet and tart! It has a nice punch of fresh grape flavor that is so unique paired with lemons. The first time I made this I was hoping the grape flavor wouldn’t get all weirdy once combined with the lemons but it only seemed to enhance their juicy, sweet grapey without overpowering the flavor of the lemons.
Who knew that grapes and lemons could play so well together!?
Simmering the grapes really helps the grape skins release it’s deep purple color so don’t skimp on that step if you want to have the prettiest color lemonade. Feel free to adjust the sugar and water to your liking. I like my lemonades very tart AND sweet! I mean ….it’s lemonade!

- Add grape mixture to a pitcher.
- Stir in lemon juice and remaining cold water and sugar.
- Taste and adjust the water and sugar to your liking.
- Refrigerate until chilled. (This tastes bolder the next day)
